Between Ovčar and Kablar Mountains, in the western Serbia, spreads the most romantic gorge with picturesque double meanders. Besides outstanding beauty of this nature reserve, there is a great number of monasteries on the slope of the gorge, which is why is called Mount Athos. At Ovčar mounatin there is spa with a hot thermal water (37,5 °C) helpful for the treatment of rheumatism, nerve and skin diseases.

Countryside & Mountains Tour includes:

  • Ovčar-Kablar Mountains and Canyon – The mount of Athos in Serbia. Represents a unique morphological entity. Its length is about 20 km, and it is protected by the state as an area of exceptional importance of first category, with extraordinary landscape diversity, beauty and attractiveness.
  • Monastery “Nikolje” – Among the oldest monasteries in canyon, which is concluded by its architecture. It was first mentioned in the Turkish census from 1476, which indicates the possibility of an earlier existence.
  • Potpeć cave – Unique for its monumental entrance in the shape of a horseshoe. It is assumed that the cave was a man’s habitat during the Neolithic period. In the cave were found archaeological remains: ceramics, processed deer antlers and flint tools. The Cave is protected as a natural monument.
  • Village “Zlakusa” (pottery) – Zlakusa village is not one of those villages where the locals go to live in the city but the village in which the students after graduation returned to live, work and create. 18 households cares for old pottery craft in a way that was done more than 3 centuries

  • “Terzića avlija” – Ethno park Terzić’s yard as a rural tourist household, is a kind of museum outdoors and indoors.

  • Mokra gora – Nature Park “Šargan –Mokra Gora” includes mountain Tara, located 210 km from Belgrade, protected as a natural monument of first degree
  • Drvengrad – meaning “Wooden town” – Ethno village, it was founded and built on the hill topping ideas by the famous film director Emir Kusturica, for the film “Life is a miracle”
